Professional Classification:For Welders and Assemblers
Professional classification is an essential system that defines the status and remuneration of professionals within a sector of activity. By relying on the professional category, it makes it possible to establish a conventional minimum wage. This remuneration is calculated according to performance, degree of autonomy, technical mastery and specific elements such as seniority or continuing training.
Our Classification Criteria in Cameroon
To highlight local expertise, we have established a rigorous classification of welders based on five fundamental pillars:
- Training and Certifications: Review of academic and technical background. Is the welder up to date with modern technologies and which certifications do they hold?
- Professional Experience: Assessment of career duration and the complexity of completed projects (shipyards, pipelines, steel structures, etc.).
- Mastery of Operating Procedures (DMOS): The welder's ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures required for specific works.
- Theoretical Validation: Verification of technological knowledge (metallurgy, plan reading, welding symbols).
- Safety and Quality (HSE): Evaluation of mastery of workplace safety rules and compliance with quality standards (zero defect).
